Renee Finney will be shearing her alpacas on April 26 & 27th and would like to invite anyone who wants to help to email for directions. fiberfarm@earthlink.net
The "pay" is food and a free fleece for each 4 hours worked. The worker gets to pick which fleece they want to take; and if they pick the same as someone else, whomever has worked longer will get the first choice. I have every color, white to black; suri and huacaya.

We start shearing at 7 a.m. sharp, and go till about 6 p.m. on both days. There will be lots of non-shearing jobs to do, labeling bags, helping get lunch set up,etc. We did it last year and I think everybody worked hard and had a good time.
Kids are welcome (as long as they don't need to be constantly supervised). At the end of the days we finish up at Fat Mike's Pizza in Wilton...on me, for everyone who has worked more than 4 hours.

If you want to just come and watch, bring a picnic lunch and a chair and come on out. My farm is about 15 minutes from Elk Grove. Email me for directions and RSVP.

Thanks, Renee
